The City Clerk's Office carries out various statutory and City Charter requirements, including:
Maintaining all Council proceedings and official records such as minutes and resolutions
Manages the preparation, maintenance, filing and publication of official records, documents, resolutions, ordinances, and City Code Manual
Maintains and responds to inquiries regarding the City Code
Serves as the City’s Notary Public
Maintains complete and accessible official records, including Council meeting minutes, easements, lawsuits, ordinances, resolutions, and legal notices in Laserfiche, and acts as the City’s Data Practices Official overseeing the City’s record retention plan
Responds to inquiries and requests from the public, including but not limited to City code, City history, and Council actions
Publishes and mails notifications of public hearing notices
Coordinates with Ramsey County for all city, county, state and federal elections as prescribed by statute and ordinance
