File for Candidacy

Offices eligible to file at Saint Anthony Village City Hall

• City Council member (two open seats)

Requirements:

Any individual considering candidacy should verify they are qualified before filing for office. When filing an affidavit of candidacy, individuals must state under oath that they are:

• Eligible to vote
• Will be at least 21 years of age upon taking office
• Will have been a resident of the ward for at least 30 days before the general election
• Have no other affidavit on file for the same primary or ensuing general election
• Affidavits must be signed in person, in front of filing officer

Filing Dates

The candidate filing period is July 29 through August 12 until 5pm.

Filing Process

• Submit an Affidavit of Candidacy at City Hall during normal business hours (must be signed in person)
• Please  bring the $2 filing fee and proper identification when filing for office.
• Candidates may also file at Ramsey County, 90 West Plato Boulevard 
• Only City Council candidates can file at City Hall. School Board candidates mut file at the Plato Building.
