Light Bulbs
Refer to the Right Light Guide (PDF) for insight to which light bulbs will best suit your home for energy and cost savings. Also look for the Energy Star logo whenever purchasing light bulbs (and appliances).
Light Bulb Disposal
Many area hardware stores and retailers offer offer in-store recycling programs for fluorescent lights, as they contain mercury and must be recycled. It is
illegal to throw them in the trash.
Broke a compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL)? Don't panic; read about Safety and Clean-Up Procedure.
The Ramsey County Environmental Center accepts home hazardous waste including items that contain mercury. The center is open year-round.

The City of Saint Anthony Village has collaborated with Xcel Energy’s Partners in Energy program to develop an Energy Action Plan that will chart a course for our community’s energy future.
The plan provides opportunities for residents and businesses in Saint Anthony Village to improve energy efficiency, save on energy costs, and decrease carbon emissions. This plan will serve the entire community, with a goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2040.
